On 4th May, 80 students and 13 teachers of Chinese High School Batu Pahat, a teacher from another school and a parent shaved their head to raise funds and create awareness for the Sabah Children’s Cancer Society. Among the shavees, two were female teachers.
With efforts and supports from member of the public, especially the parents and school alumni, this charity event had managed to raise an amount of RM25,000 to aid the cancer children in Sabah where the fund will subsidize their transportation, accommodations, funerals and other expenses. Stylists from five different salons had also volunteered at the event to shave the hair of the participants.
On 27th October, Recycle Your Hair was proud to receive their hair donations (read post here). There are a total of 18 ponytails, of which 4 are believed to be in pairs.
