We have sent in some hair for our wigs next year. Can you find yours?

Minh Chau's donation

"I actually have long hair for my whole 30 years life. It is a blessing for me to have such a beautiful one. It makes me feel happy and confident everyday.

Wigs Update 01/09/2015

Apologies for the delay on the update of the wigs.

Earlier, we made 4 wigs, including a specially requested wig. We have recently made an additional wig (Y15-05), making the total number of wigs we made this year to 5.

On the 28th July 2015, we donated 4 wigs (see photos below) to the Breast Cancer Foundation. Thank you Hui Shan (our hair donor) for taking your time to come down with us.

Jaslyn's 2nd Donation

"I've been measuring my hair to make sure I have long enough hair to donate (it's about 11 inches this time). I've been growing it for almost 2 years. I thought it'll be nice to have it cut on Mother's Day for all the mothers who battled or are battling cancer.

Hanlyn's Donation

"I am happy that when I plan to have a short hair cut in this year, I found this project through Google. I always hope to join "Hair for Hope" project to show a support to cancer patient. But I know I not dare to shave all my hair yet.

Wigs Viewing

It's good to meet our donors once again during our wigs viewing session. Still able to recognise them, despite the chance in the length of their hair.

On the left is Mary, who donated 19 inches of her hair in 2013. And Michelle, donated her 11 inches early last year. Thank you all for coming all the way down to view the wigs.

How not to have your donation rejected

There has been an increase number of rejects in the recent months, and the number seems to be going up.

Wet, damp, greasy or hair with unpleasant smell were some of the reasons why these donations were rejected.

Despite the instructions given to wash and dry their hair before cutting and not to wash over night, we still received hair that is wet, damp, greasy or with unpleasant smell.

When asked, here are some of the reasons given;
